My favorite holiday is Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year has a great history. Chinese New Year is the last day of the lunar calendar for Chinese. It is the time of gratitude and family togetherness Days before Chinese New Year, people start to buy gifts, flowers, food and clothing. People clean up their whole houses including rooms, kitchens, windows, and doors in order to get rid of bad luck.
The Chinese New Year is the most important part of the holiday. When hearing Chinese New Year is coming, I will be very happy because my family and relatives eat New Year’s Eve dinner together. After dinner I can get some red envelopes and play card games and mahjong with my cousins. The New Year represents a reunion and a new beginning; moreover, people wish that they could see off the old and welcome the new. Let’s welcome Chinese New Year together.
